"Anupamaa-Anuj's Finally Gets Married , Leela Gets Emotional, Vanraj congratulates them " Anupamaa Upcoming 20th May 2022.
The episode begins in the wedding venue. Anupama and Anuj both feel that having respect for each other is the foundation of any relationship.
They tell that love and happiness can exist when there’s respect in the marriage. Anuj tells that love is fake without respect. Anupama agrees with him. They feel that they don’t need long promises but the word ‘respect’ is enough for them. They promise to each other that they like to respect each other liking, disliking, and the right to fight and get angry.
Hasmukh praises both of them for their mindsets and feels that there is no lack of anything at the wedding. Meenu tells him that Vanraj is missing from the wedding and feels that their happiness will be complete by his presence. She finds Vanraj walking toward the stage with a bouquet. Everyone is shocked to see him. Vanraj offers the bouquet to Anuj and Anupama and congratulates them. Seeing him, Kavya gets excited.
He tells them that he’s not sorry for what happened and what has been said but doesn’t want to fight with them. He feels Kavya is correct for asking him to join the wedding for himself. Anuj feels that Meenu was right and welcomes Vanraj. Samar suggests a family photo. Devika thanks Vanraj for joining the wedding and offers him a glass of juice.
Samar, Paritosh, and Pakhi hurriedly arrange the mandaap as they want Anupama’s wedding to be perfect. Later, Anuj and Anupama arrive in the mandap with their family for the next rituals. As Anuj opens his shoes, G.K keeps them in a bag so that nobody steals them. Pakhi and Samar tell him that they don’t steal the shoes but the phone.
Anuj looks for his phone in the pocket but doesn’t find it. Paritosh tells him that everyone’s life is stuck on the phone nowadays. Anuj tells him that his life is stuck in Anupama. He asks the children for the phone. The children demand a lump-sum amount from him which he agrees to give them.
Hasmukh asks them to head on to the next rituals. Anuj and Anupama pray to the mandap as it’s the temple of their love. They walk up to the mandap and take their seat. They follow the rituals as instructed by the panditji. Hasmukh and Leela follow the ritual of kanyadaan and get emotional.
Hasmukh feels relieved after the ritual. Leela gets emotional as Anupama has always loved the family though she never considered her as a daughter or daughter-in-law. She breaks down into tears thinking about Anupama’s vidaai ceremony.
Rakhi too gets emotional when Kinjal hugs her. Samar, Paritosh, and Pakhi do a unique ritual of mummydaan where they give Anuj the right over Anupama and warn him to take care of their mother. Anuj and Anupama gear up for the next ritual of taking rounds around the fire when everyone showers flower petals on them.
After the seven rounds get completed, the panditji ask them to get ready for the next ritual of putting vermillion. Anuj and Anupama sit again. As Samar takes the thali and triples, the box of sindoor was about to fall which Vanraj catches. Vanraj asks them not to worry as everything is fine. The panditji asks Anuj to put the vermilion on Anupama’s forehead. Anuj put the vermilion when Anupama closes her eyes. They both smile looking at each other. The next ritual of putting mangalsutra on Anupama is also done by Anuj.
The wedding gets successfully done as Anuj and Anupama are announced as husband and wife. Later, the couple takes blessings from the elders of their family. Kanta prays for Anuj and Anupama’s happiness.
G.K blesses the couple for a lifetime of happiness. Anuj and Anupama touch Hasmukh’s feet. Hasmukh blesses them to be happy and gets emotional. The couple takes Leela’s blessings. Leela sheds tears and feels that Anupama is the best daughter-in-law anyone could have.

Anuj and Anupama reach the Shah house with their family and pray in the temple. Everyone wishes them luck and congratulates them.
