"Anupamaa Celebrates Anuj's Birthday He Opens His Eyes, Barkha Plans Something Big " Anupamaa Upcoming 20th August 2022.
The episode begins in the Kapadia house. Anupama warns Barkha and Ankush not to ruin the festival and Anuj’s birthday that’s coming the next day.
She tells Hasmukh that she will let them know about the plan of the celebration. Hasmukh nods his head and leaves the house with Paritosh and Samar. Anupama goes to check on Anuj. Ankush tells Barkha that they have to think over something to stop Anupama from taking over the business and house. Barkha has already planned in her mind. Anu makes a birthday crown for Anuj.
The nurse decides to help Anu in preparation. Anupama hugs Anuj and is excited about his birthday. Barkha and Ankush decide to teach a lesson to Anupama. Anupama shares stories of Kanha ji and how he protects the world from sin. Ankush and Barkha enter the room to install the CCTV camera. Anupama allows them to do so. After Barkha and Ankush install the camera, Anupama stands in front of it and asks them if she’s seen clearly through it.
The nurse laughs when Barkha talks rudely to her. Anupama stands up for the nurse and asks Barkha to get out of the room and talk. Ankush and Barkha leave the room. Anupama apologizes to the nurse for Barkha’s behavior. The nurse promises her that she would do her work with utmost care. Anupama tries to cheer up Anuj and asks him not to worry about anything as she will handle everything.
Barkha decides to take revenge on Anupama. Ankush wonders why Anupama didn’t fight over installing the camera in Anuj’s room. Barkha tells him that Anupama is playing mind games with her by not allowing her to terminate the nurse. She asks him to sort the legal issues with the lawyer as she’s planning for a bigger celebration.
Vanraj asks Hasmukh if Anuj is fine. Hasmukh asks him not to worry as Anuj is taken care of properly. Vanraj asks him to tell Anu to stay away from the machines. He decides to visit Anuj but Paritosh stops him as Barkha would create a scene seeing him and blaming him for Anuj’s condition.
He talks in his imagination and falls from the swing. Everyone runs towards him and tries to console him. Vanraj feels restless to meet Anuj. Leela and Hasmukh stop him from meeting Anuj. Vanraj decides to meet Anuj on his birthday to talk to him. Anu, Anupama, G.K, and the nurse with Anuj on his birthday at the midnight. The room is decorated full of balloons and lights.
Barkha receives a text from the advocate while she was asleep. After the midnight wishes are done and others have left the room, Anupama covers the camera with a towel so that nobody sees the private moment of a husband and wife. She talks to Anuj and imagines him talking to her. Anuj shares a Shayari with her which makes her laugh. He eats the cupcake when Anupama realizes that she’s hallucinating. She’s confident that Anuj will be waking up soon.
She prays to Kanha ji
for good news about Anuj’s health. In the morning, Anupama does the puja and
prays to Kanha ji for magic so that Anuj gets up soon. Vanraj prays to Kanha ji
for Anuj’s well-being so that truth comes out soon. Barkha and Ankush meet with
the advocate and get a document. Anupama enters Anuj’s room and finds his eyes
opened but he doesn’t respond. She calls the doctor immediately for a check-up.

Anupama grooms Anuj. Barkha decides to snatch away Anupama’s happiness. The police visit the Shah house looking for Vanraj. Anupama warns Barkha to watch her steps.
