The episode begins with Kanta helping Anupama get ready as Anuj is arriving. Anupama gets excited to meet Anuj.

 

Ankush informs Barkha that Anuj is coming back to the Kapadia mansion with his wife Anupama. She gets restless. Ankush asks her to cry a bit and goes to prepare Anuj and Anupama’s welcome. Barkha tells Adhik that Pakhi is responsible for this situation and wonders how she had manipulated Anuj. She blames Pakhi for ruining their future.

Anupamaa 1st May 2023 Today's Episode Written Update

 

 Anuj packs his clothes. Anu gives him his spectacles and makes them wear him. Maaya wipes her tears. Adhik and Pakhi prepare in the kitchen for Anuj and Anupama’s welcome. Barkha and Adhik notice them. The Shahs are busy with the welcome preparation too but Leela, Paritosh, and Vanraj look upset. Anupama looks at Anuj’s photo and waits for his arrival.

 

Anuj too cannot wait to meet her. Leela asks her family members not to go to the Kapadia mansion and Anuj and Anupama will get separated again. Hasmukh criticizes her for always cursing others. Leela tells him that Anuj and Anupama’s marriage won’t get fixed due to her words. Hasmukh tells her that her words have no value anymore. Kavya asks Vanraj if he’s not going to be a part of his friend’s happiness.

 

He asks her to pack all her stuff and never come back to the Shah house. He insults her for not being able to be self-dependent and compares her with Anupama for not having self-respect. Hasmukh and Leela try to stop him. Vanraj tells him that he cannot tolerate Kavya anymore. Kinjal requests Vanraj to stop. Vanraj asks her not to interfere and suggests Kavya stay with Anuj-Anupama or Anirudh.

 

 He asks her to get out of his house. Everyone is shocked by his behavior. Anupama comes into the living room and finds a wonderful decoration done by Bhavesh and Kanta. She grows impatient and wonders why time isn’t going fast.

 

Suddenly, she gets nervous and prays so that Anuj and her happiness don’t get ruined. Hasmukh asks Vanraj what’s wrong with him. Leela tells him that he shouldn’t misbehave with his wife. Vanraj tells them that he doesn’t consider Kavya to be his wife anymore. Kavya makes it clear to him that she wouldn’t leave the house at any cost as he’s his wife legally.

 

 Vanraj asks her to get out. Kavya too screams at him back. Kants asks Anupama not to keep staring at the door as it might fall apart. She teases her. Anupama calls her cute and hugs her. When Vanraj and Kavya scream at each other, Kinjal asks him not to take out someone else’s anger on Kavya. Samar agrees with her.

 

 Paritosh asks Kinjal not to interfere between a husband and wife as it’s Vanraj’s decision about giving Kavya a second chance. Kinjal reminds him about their broken marriage and tells him that she has given hope on it but staying in the house as he’s Arya’s father. 

Samar tells Vanraj that he has no right to give a second chance to Kavya. Kinjal agrees and tells that Kavya is the one who has given him so many chances. She makes it clear that if Kavya leaves, she will leave the house too.

 

Hasmukh supports her decision. Dimpy and Samar too stand by Kavya’s side. Kinjal tells Vanraj that she will leave with Arya if Kavya leaves. Vanraj goes to his room quietly. Anu gets angry at Anuj for not bringing a gift for Anupama with whom he had fought so much. He apologizes to her and goes to a nearby store to buy a saree for Anupama.

 

After Anuj leaves, Anu asks Maaya not to get upset as Anuj will come back with Anupama. Maaya opens Anuj’s bag and unpacks all his clothes. Vanraj throws his file in anger when Leela and Paritosh ask him to calm down. While Anupama waits for Anuj, the Shahs arrive there. Pakhi tells her that they are there to welcome Anuj.

 

Anupama thanks her for doing so much for her and bringing back Anuj to her so soon. She is grateful to her daughter. Pakhi tells her that they were responsible for ruining Anuj and her relationship and so decided to put some effort to mend it back. Kanta and Hasmukh tease them for crying like rivers.
