"Anupamaa-Anuj Gets Special Blessings, Anupamaa's Request to Leela " Anupamaa Upcoming 16th May 2022.
The episode begins in the Haldi venue. Anuj makes Anupama feel special. Paritosh tells him that he has raised the expectations of girls from their life partners.
Anupama feels blessed to have Anuj as her life partner for giving her equal respect and being her friend. She breaks down into tears when she tells that after working all day in the kitchen, she had to hear that she smells bad due to spices. Anuj wipes her tears. Anupama thanks him for giving her so much love and respect. Her haldi ceremony begins.
Everyone puts haldi on her one by one. Samar waits for some guests to arrive. Anuj asks him not to worry as he has sent them personal invitations. Meanwhile, a group of transgenders arrives at their haldi venue as Anuj’s invited guests who had blessed Anuj and Anupama earlier for their wedding. Anupama calls them her friends for blessing them. The guests dance with Anupama and Anuj and give them shagun for their wedding.
Anupama offers them, sweets before they leave. Kanta taunts Leela for not participating in the wedding being with Anupama for the last twenty-seven years and appreciates the transgenders for showing such a sweet gesture by arriving in the haldi. Hasmukh asks her to leave as some people don’t change. Before wrapping up the haldi ceremony, Anuj and Anupama thank everyone in the family for making their wedding ceremonies special and grand.
Anupama feels grateful to Hasmukh for giving importance to her wedding rather than his health. Anuj thanks Anupama’s children for accepting him in their mother’s life. Anupama and Anuj are blessed to have such a supportive family who has made new rules for their wedding without caring about what society thinks. Hasmukh gets emotional.
Malvika and Devika bring Anupama’s bridal outfit as a gift from the bridegroom’s side. Samar, Pakhi, and Paritosh too offer Anuj his wedding outfit on behalf of the bride’s side. When G.K tells them that there’s no such ritual of offering the groom’s outfit to the bride’s family, Paritosh tells him that relationships should be made on equal terms. Anuj tells Anupama’s children that though he will be their mother’s husband but will always be their friend.
Vanraj and Anuj share a look that Anupama realizes and recalls the day when Vanraj wanted to talk to Anuj personally. After the rituals are done, Anuj and Anupama don’t feel like leaving each other when others tease them.
Anuj leaves along with his family. Later, Leela makes turmeric milk when the turmeric falls on Anupama’s hand. Anupama feels glad as Leela put haldi on her even by mistake. She hugs her from behind and tells her that she will always be her mother so wants her blessing at the wedding.
She asks her if she doesn’t have a place in her hand after staying for twenty-seven years. She requests her to bless her in the vidaai ceremony. Kinjal and Pakhi take Anupama to her room and offer to help her gear up for her wedding. Anupama feels lucky to have daughters like them. Kinjal feels something odd in her baby bump and worries. Anupama asks her not to worry as it’s the baby kicking her. She tells her that every baby does so.
Kinjal calls herself stupid for not knowing anything. Anupama tells her that she’s not stupid but a mother who worries about her childlike every mother does. Pakhi gets emotional and hugs her mother. Anupama asks her what the matter is.
Pakhi tells her that she has realized the pain and sufferings of a mother and got emotional. Vanraj asks Kavya why she’s so happy at Anupama’s wedding as she’s their enemy. Kavya tells him that Anupama was never their enemy but they betrayed her.
She tells him that she’s happy seeing Anupama happy in her celebration. She asks him to attend Anupama’s wedding with a smile at least for the sake of Hasmukh and his children. She wishes for Anupama’s happiness as every girl deserves it and waits for it.
Kinjal tells Anupama that she will need a lot of her time after the baby is borns as she wants her baby to be like her mother. Anupama is overwhelmed.
Precap: Anupama spends time with her children and tells them that even after her wedding, she will still be their mother. Malvika informs Anuj that she needs to go to the US on the very same day. Anuj declares that he will not marry Anupama in her absence.
