The episode starts with Kartik and Naira writing their
pregnancy diaries. Kartik tries to cheat from Naira's diary but smart Naira
doesn't let him do so. They fill their diaries and exchange the diaries.
Watching the diaries, Naira wishes from Kartik that whenever their baby comes,
he must be the first to bring the baby to her in his lap.

The Christmas morning, Goenka villa is all filled with the
warming celebration.
Dressed up Naira comes downstairs. Kartik asks her how she came downstairs as previous day he won the challenge to keep her safe away from the romping. He asks Naira to go back to her room. Naira asks can't she even come to the party. She requests Kartik to let her join the exciting party. But still, Kartik sends her back to her room to rest. Unwillingly, Naira has to leave the party.

Before she may discuss her further plan with Manish, Manish has to get into some other work and leave. While Suhasini is still unsure about her next step, an ambulance arrives at Goenka villa.

Kartik taking out Laddoo from Suhasini's jar tries to stop himself from eating more. But
he couldn't stop himself from eating the delicious Laddoo made by Suhasini for
Naira and puts it into his mouth.

Kartik tries to calm down her and asks Suhasini to make some more. Bhabhimaa, Devyani, and Kirti also arrive there and starts laughing over naughty Kartik. Kartik meets Kirti and asks if she's upset from Naksh for going South Africa. Kirti clears that she's absolutely fine and tells Kartik that Naira got overwhelmed to see Naksh going South Africa. Praising himself, Kartik takes the responsibility to take care of his sister and wife. Kirti asks Kartik about Naira and asks him to call her downstairs. Kartik tells her that she's having rest in her room and tells them how he forced her to stay in the room and have rest. Kirti again asks Kartik to call her but Kartik says let her rest, I'll call her later. Meanwhile, Naira is getting bored in her room. She eagerly wishes to join the party as she's also feeling hungry and wants to eat something yummy. So Naira starts getting a plan to get into the Christmas party.

Manish comes to know that Aditya is in their city and gets
concerned about Naksh and Kirti. Suhasini comes to know about the prenatal test
mobile van outside their house and again gets abashed about the test.
Naira compels the real Santa to not to go for the party and
disguises herself as Santa Claus. The children and Kartik feel strange to get slim Santa instead of a
chubby one. Naira misleads Kartik and munches on some yummy snacks which she
has been waiting for eagerly. Santa Naira dances and warms up the celebration.
She enjoys the party just as she wanted. Unaware of Naira's presence, Kartik
misses Naira in the party but for the baby decides to call her down later. When
all the children start sharing their wishes with Santa, Suhasini also comes to
Santa with her wish. She wishes from Santa to give her grandson Kartik a baby
boy. Santa Naira asks and what if he'll have a daughter? Suhasini immediately
replies No! We want the only son. Naira understands why Suhasini wanted to take
her for a test. When Suhasini continues to plead Santa to get a son, Naira
shocks her by putting off her beard and revealing her identity.
Precap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Episode Written Update 29th December 2018 : An upset Naira takes a move to challenge Suhasini's
thinking and comes home with police.
